Blackheath Ladies
Thursday 10th May - the ladies played a stableford event sponsored by Vicky Marquis. The winner was Kerri-Anne Tatton (23) with 39 points. Runner up was Rhonda Lonergan (27) with 35 points on a count-back. Nearest the pins were Ali Brinkman on the 13th sponsored by the Veggie Patch who also took out the NTP on the 17th, while Sandra Draper was closest with he sec ond shot on the second. Balls were won by K Tatton, R Lonergan, V Marquis, J Simpson, C Soady, A Brinkman, D Pearce and G Loneragan on a count back.
Saturday 12th May - the 4th Round of Golf NSW Monthly medal was played. The winner was Yvonne Murray (27) with a nett 67 from runner up Gay Revie(23) with 68 nett. Nearest the pins were Jenny O’Baugh on the 7th and Jean Simpson on the Veggie Patch sponsored 13th. Cindy Fitzgerald had the best second shot on the 5th while Joan Aitken won the putting competition with 30 puts. Balls went to Y Murray, G Revie, D Landsberg, L Mathews and Cindy Fitzgerald.
Next Saturday the 4 Ball best ball GNSW Bowl sponsored by Gabrielle Lonergan.
Blackheath Men
Wednesday 9th May - saw a strong filed hit off in the weekly Dave’s Pro shop event with visitors from Katoomba and Leura. Winners of the Individual trophy Michael Strong (26) with 43 points and he took home a $40.00 pro shop voucher. The 2 Ball winners were Michael Strong and John Haynes(19) with 49 points. Nearest the pin on the 5th was Dave Wood while Graham Jones was closest on the 17th. Balls went down to 33 points.
Saturday 12th May - was Monthly Medal Day and also the play off for the Gold Medal. Visitors were welcomed from Wentworth Falls and Leura. The winner of the Gold Medal was Roy Najjar (27) with a net 63. For the May Monthly medal winners were A Grade Bill Pearce(11) and Alister Campbell(9) are to play off. B Grade winner was John Haynes (19) with 65 nett with Runner up Greg Thomson (13) with 67 nett. C Grade winner was Roy Najjar (27) with 63 nett and runner up was Noel Daly(22) with 67 nett. Scratch winners were A Grade Alistair Campbell 77 on a count back, B Grade Greg Thomson 80 and C Grade Graham Jones with 88. Aprils A Grade medal winner was Trevor Thomas (5) with 72 nett and the April C Grade medal winner was Roy Najjar. Nearest the pins went to Mark Allen on the second, David Hall on the 5th, Bryan Marvin on the 17th who also won the pro pin on $208.00 with 22cms. Balls went down to 72 on a count back.
Next Saturday will be a Par event sponsored by Jack Lord.
